Force

Forces are all around us and seen many times everyday. We use force to close our closet door and even to brush our teeth. You use force to change directions and this is displayed even when hockey players score a goal. They use force of the stick on the puck to change directions. More force put on something causes the object to move with more speed. Things that are heavy need more force put on them in order to move. Once the students have read the paragraph they will be well informed to answer questions like:
List 3 every day things you do that require force?
 What is force?
How is the direction of an object changed?
How can you make your bike go faster?     Will a heavier or lighter object go faster when kicked? Explain.     Provide 3 examples of how athletes change the direction in a sport.
