| Do you know the four main types of weathering on earth? The four types of weathering are water, wind, freezing temperature and plants. This concept is part of the science standards for 2nd and 3rd grade students. This teaching idea and free worksheets requires students to describe the 4 weathering processes. Take students on a walk to help them see the actual process of weathering. Watch for plants and roots coming up through areas in the sidewalks or the ground. Show the cracks from the drying winds.
