| A teaching idea about where the bodies of water are found on earth. Student goals are to understand that water is found in oceans, streams, rivers, lakes and marshes to name a few. Students should be able to identify the looks of each of these bodies of water and be able to describe them. Take the opportunities to show students bodies of water on globes and maps so that students understand the various shapes of water which is the knowledge required for the next generation science standards for 2nd and 3rd grades. Students should know which bodies of water are fresh water and which bodies of water are salt water.
