|Notes about matter:|
All matter are made up of tiny particles (atoms and molecules)
All matter moves in continuous motion
Another way to help your students understand the particles for each state:
Ask students to scatter around the room in a random fashion?this is how the particles work in a gas.
Ask students to scatter around room but every student must touch another student by their baby finger (elbow, thumbs, toe?) ? this is how the particles work in a liquid
Ask the students to touch shoulders and line up in 3-4 rows evenly, everyone should tuck in as close as possible in a very uniform way? this is how the particles work in a solid.
