| Stayner is a sleepy town where not much exciting happens except for this one day there was an attempted bank heist. Three robbers arrived demanding money from Mrs. Thompson the bank manager. Although very frightened she kept her cool and no one in the heist was hurt. Officer Rodriquez was patrolling the streets when he got the call about a robbery at Stayner Savings Bank. When he arrived the robbers had fled but he found them in an alley counting their money and arrested them. The people of Stayner were grateful their little town had survived the robbery. Mrs. Thompson and Officer Rodriquez were celebrated at heroes. This comprehension passage is suitable for 6th graders. They will learn to use more advanced reading comprehension strategies as they use inferencing and make connections while answering the related questions. | |||||
