Off to The Zoo is an interesting passage about children and what they discover at the zoo. You can use this exercise for small group instruction but it is also a great tool for independent learning. It is a great asset to support comprehension and fluency. Students will read the passage, decoding unknown words, and then they will answer the follow up questions. They will practice visualization, making connections and inferences. Remind your students not to look back at the passage to find out the answers to the questions but to use their recall skills. |
