This persistence worksheet allows students to think about how they could become more persistent, it also makes them consider what prevents them to becoming persistent. Persistence is a lifelong skill. As educators we can help children become more persistent by helping them understand what prevents them from being persistent. Developing skills in persistence also means helping children learn when and why they're distracted. Children need to understand what prevents them from sticking to the task. Once they are able to figure out why they don't persist, they can then develop strategies, hopefully ones that are habit forming to become more persistent. Sometimes, students need to be taught strategies that help them to work independently in order for them to develop their persistence. Persistence means, not giving up, doing your best, sticking with it, developing patience to see things through. |
