Task cards are used for a variety of reasons. They will become an invaluable part of your science unit as students investigate different concepts about motion and stability. Teach them responsibility as they are accountable to complete all of the task cards but can choose each day which one they would like to do. Today they might decide on card 3 that talks about how a ball moves and what makes it move faster and slower. Then they will put on their thinking caps as they investigate the cause for a bike going faster, a door opening and a door closing, a skateboard turning, a swing going higher, a wagon moving, and a ball changing direction.
