For everything that happens something has caused it to react the way it does. When we teach a child this they recognize the relationship between two things. Things happen for a reason. Your 3rd graders will look at the pictures on this sheet and identify the possible cause for the effect. Then they will be asked what would happen if a greater force applied. The effect is Leaves on the ground. Sailboat moving. Windmill moving. Sled moving. Door opening. Seesaw moving. Nails sticking instead of dropping. Rain falling. A shopping cart moving. A surfboard moving.
