Lab Mix the Matter For Google Apps

Labs are always interesting to do as they are hands on. This lab involves mixing different matter. What’s needed: Water, Salt, Sugar, Flour, Sand, Three clear plastic cups, Spoons and Marker.
What to do:
• Label each cup with a marker: Cup A, Cup B, and Cup C.
• Fill Cup A with water.
• Add a spoonful of salt to Cup A and stir it with a spoon.
• Add a spoonful of sugar to Cup B and stir it with a spoon.
• Add a spoonful of flour to Cup C and stir it with a spoon.
• Add a spoonful of sand to each cup, one at a time, and stir with a spoon.
Observe what happens when the sand is added to each cup.
As the 5th graders are working through this lab they need to record their findings as they will need to write a report on it. They also need to give a conclusion.
