| Analyzing ads and commercials make us more aware of how advertising works and helps us make informed decisions about the product. Step 1: Watch the ad or commercial. Watch it carefully and determine how they are trying to convince you to buy. Step 2: Identify the Product or message. What are they trying to sell you? Step 3: Notice the pictures and sounds. Are they colorful? Do they make you happy? sad? curious? Step 4: Check for words and voice. Is the voice friendly and persuasive? Step 5: Think about your feelings. How does it make you feel and do you want the product more after watching the ad? Step 6: Discuss with family and friends. Discuss the ad with others to see how it makes them feel.
