Liquids take the shape of the container they are in, and they are easy to pour. Gases have no definite shape and no definite volume. Matter can also be a mixture of elements. A mixture is when two or more substances are combined together, but they don’t form a new substance. Matter can also be changed from one state to another. This is called changes of state.
