Laws and Rules Gr 3 For Google Apps

Laws are important rules that the whole country needs to follow. Special people in the government make them to keep us safe. If you break the law you can get into trouble and even go to jail. Laws are for everyone in the country not just for school or home.
Rules are smaller and are made to make us behave in different places and situations. At home, you might have a rule of not wearing hats at the dinner table. At school, a rule might be to raise your hand instead of just blurting out. If you break a rule there are consequences of perhaps a timeout or no tv. Rules are made by the people in charge like parents and teachers.
Both laws and rules are put in place to keep us safe and make us do the right thing.
