Use of Character Trait Task Cards For Google Apps

This is an overview for teachers as they use the character trait task cards. The objective of these cards is to help students understand, reflect and practice character traits. These cards will promote social-emotional learning, improve student behavior and foster a positive classroom environment.
Introduce the student to a character trait and discuss its definition, importance and examples of real life. Assign a task card for a daily or weekly activity. Depending on the task it could be an independent or group assignment. Have students keep a journal related to this trait.
It is important to celebrate students who constantly demonstrate the trait. It could be by giving an award or special privileges.
Keep parents informed of the trait you are working on. Also try to include the community.
By regularly using these cards student will learn to reflect on these behaviors and apply these values in their daily interactions.
