| In many countries, there are 3 levels of government. There job is to make sure things run smoothly and everyone is happy. The first layer is local government. They make rules for parks, organize events and make sure the streets are clean and safe for everyone. The next layer is the state government. They look after schools, and manage highways and roads. The top level is the national government. The leaders of this level are the presidents and prime ministers. They deal with issues that affect everyone. They defend the country against challenges, decide on big money manners and make sure everything is fair to all. All these levels of government make a united community. | |||||
