|Teaching is an art and there really is no one way to teach and reach all |
students. You need to be creative. These learning activities will enhance and augment your unit on motion and stability but it is by no means all you will need to teach this unit. Many of the activities included will be suitable for small group, whole groupand center based learning. There are many inquiry opportunities provided in
the learning handouts. Many of the printables can be glued into
student interactive books. Common core aligned and NGSS aligned3?PS2 Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions The main idea is “What makes things move.” You may wish to introduce the unit with some of the discussion questions
provided using brainstorming, elbow chats or think/pair/share strategies
to get the students engaging in minds on about forces and motions. PLEASE NOTE—Inquiry and Scienti?c planners are recommended for use with the labs, they
are provided. It is recommended that the task cards be completed after some of the concepts are taught. Also included on this sheet are keywords needed for this unit.
