Collecting rare coins is a popular hobby for people of all ages. People collect coins for many reasons. Some enjoy learning about history, while others like the challenge of finding rare pieces. Whether for fun or investment, coin collecting can be an exciting and rewarding hobby. The other is a 4th grade story about Jenna and her coins that go missing. Jenna loved her rare coin collection, she had been collecting coins for as long as she could remember. However, on this day, she was shocked when she unlocked her lockbox only to discover that many of her precious coins were missing. Both of these paired texts share the same theme but one is fictional and one is non fiction. Both stories have comprehension questions that follow.
