The Frayer Model is a type of a graphic organizer that is used usually for a concept or a word. The word or concept is defined, the characteristics are described and examples and non examples are given. To begin using a Frayer Model, the teacher should first model its use a few times in order for students to understand how to use it. The frayer model can be used with the whole class, with individual students or with groups of students. See the examples of a filled in worksheet to better understand how the Frayer Model is used. You'll find many examples of Frayer model templates in both portrait and landscape.
